50 Cent has reignited his long-running feud with Floyd Mayweather after the boxing legend declared Donald Trump the “best president ever.”

Mayweather’s Controversial Endorsement

During an appearance on Fox Business’ Making Money with Charles Payne on February 26, Mayweather praised Trump, saying:

“When we had Trump before, we didn’t appreciate him. But I think Trump is a great president… actually, the best president we ever had.”

He went on to call Trump a “great businessman” and insisted that the former president is “the man for the job.”

50 Cent Fires Back

Mayweather’s endorsement didn’t sit well with 50 Cent, who quickly took to Instagram to mock the boxing champ’s well-known struggles with reading and writing.

“YO, you know how when you’re in school and a kid eats the crayons. Now you see what happens when they grow up. Spell BEST PRESIDENT champ! LOL.”

A Deeper Feud?

50 Cent’s latest jab may also have something to do with Mayweather’s recent hangout with Rick Ross, Big Meech, and Lil Meech—all of whom 50 has been feuding with. The rapper has been taking shots at the trio, accusing Big Meech of snitching following his release from prison last year.

Mayweather’s association with them may have only added fuel to the fire.

50 Cent’s Own Stance on Trump

Interestingly, 50 Cent himself has had a complicated relationship with Trump. In 2020, he briefly supported him over Biden’s proposed tax plan, writing:

“WHAT THE F**! (VOTE FOR TRUMP) IM OUT. F*** NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway.”*

However, after receiving backlash, he later switched his support to Biden.

More recently, he criticized New York mayor Eric Adams and suggested that Trump was “the answer” to fixing the city’s problems. He even joked that Trump’s rising popularity among Black men was because many of them have RICO charges.

What’s Next?

With 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather, the beef never really ends. Whether it’s Trump, literacy jokes, or personal rivalries, these two never miss an opportunity to take shots at each other.

And if history has shown us anything, this war of words is far from over.
