50 Cent Takes Another Shot at Floyd Mayweather Over Conor McGregor’s Surprise Presidential Run

50 Cent is back at it, throwing shade at Floyd Mayweather in a new social media jab — this time sparked by Conor McGregor’s shocking announcement to run for President of Ireland.

The UFC star revealed his unexpected entry into politics after visiting Donald Trump at the White House for St. Patrick’s Day. His campaign quickly drew controversy for its anti-immigration stance, with McGregor stating that “Ireland is at the cusp of potentially losing its Irishness.” The remarks were quickly rebuked by current president Micheál Martin.

But the real firestorm came from 50 Cent, who couldn’t resist using McGregor’s political move to mock his longtime frenemy Mayweather. On Instagram, 50 posted a dig at Mayweather’s alleged literacy struggles, writing:

“See what happens when you can read champ, the shit just matters.”

50 Cent vs Mayweather: The Feud Continues

This isn’t the first time 50 Cent has poked fun at Mayweather, especially over reading jokes — a running theme in their long-standing feud. Just recently, 50 mocked Mayweather again after the former boxing champ publicly endorsed Donald Trump.

Mayweather appeared on Fox Business’s Making Money with Charles Payne, declaring:

“Trump is the best president we ever had… great businessman… amazing job.”

Clearly unimpressed, 50 Cent clapped back with another stinging post:

“YO you know how, when you’re in school and a kid eats the crayons. Now you see what happens when they grow up. Spell BEST PRESIDENT champ! LOL.”

50 Cent’s Own Complicated Political Views

Despite roasting Mayweather for his Trump praise, 50 Cent himself has had his own political flip-flops. Back in 2020, he made headlines when he slammed Joe Biden’s tax plan, urging fans to “VOTE For TRUMP” in a viral post.

“F** NEW YORK. The KNICKS never win anyway. I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people — 62% are you out of ya f****** mind.”*

However, 50 later walked back his comments, publicly switching his support to Joe Biden after backlash from fans.

Drama, Politics, and Punchlines

As McGregor’s political campaign sparks global headlines, 50 Cent has used it as yet another moment to throw punches — this time not in a ring, but on Instagram. And if history is any indication, the 50 vs Mayweather saga is far from over.
