50 Cent is ready to kill Skillhouse — and not in the box office sense.
The rapper, actor, and media mogul has ignited a fiery public feud with Ryan Kavanaugh, the controversial financier behind Skillhouse, a horror film originally slated for release on July 11, 2025. The project, which stars 50 alongside influencers like Bryce Hall and Paige VanZant, was billed as a gory, boundary-pushing satire of social media obsession. But now, the real bloodbath might be happening behind the scenes.
“They Can’t Release This Movie Without My Signature”
Taking to Instagram, 50 posted a series of heated messages targeting Kavanaugh — and threatening to halt the film’s release entirely.
“They can’t release this MOVIE SKILLHOUSE without my signature which they do not have,” he wrote. “What kinda business are they doing? I’d hate to have to demonstrate.”
In another post, he added:
“This guy Ryan Kavanaugh is doing everything in his power to make me kill this movie. This one is going in the trash can.”
The posts suggest a breakdown in the film’s contractual agreements, with 50 Cent implying that Kavanaugh attempted to bypass necessary approvals.
Attacking the Man Behind the Money
Fif didn’t stop at the business dispute. He then turned personal, posting screenshots of articles highlighting Kavanaugh’s past DUI arrest, mocking his status as a “Top Financier.”
“Here he is guys, he must be drunk right now fking wit me. Top Financier get the fk outta here.”
So far, Kavanaugh has not responded publicly, leaving fans and industry insiders speculating about what’s really happening behind the curtain.
Skillhouse: A Horror Movie That Made Crew Members Faint
Skillhouse first made headlines back in 2022 when a graphic kill scene allegedly caused a camera operator to pass out on set. Director Josh Stolberg (known for Jigsaw and Spiral) hyped the moment on social media:
“Yikes!!! We shot a kill scene last night and the camera operator became so nauseated that he passed out… get ready for some scary sh*t.”
50 Cent seemed excited at the time, saying:
“We’re elevating horror to the next level. This is gonna change the rules of the game.”
Kavanaugh, meanwhile, had described the film as “revolutionary,” aiming to merge horror with influencer culture to captivate Gen Z audiences.
But now, it’s unclear whether audiences will ever get to see Skillhouse at all.
A Fight Bigger Than the Film?
With the release date looming, the feud between 50 and Kavanaugh could derail the entire project. If 50 refuses to sign off, legal proceedings may follow — or the film could be shelved indefinitely.
And just like that, Skillhouse may go from blood-soaked horror hit to a Hollywood ghost story.
Stay tuned — this one’s far from over.
