In a deeply personal reflection, Ronan Keating has opened up about the emotional impact of the revelations made in the new documentary No Matter What, which chronicles the rise of Boyzone and the behind-the-scenes actions of their longtime manager, Louis Walsh.

Keating admitted he was both shocked and heartbroken to learn that Walsh had allegedly sold fabricated stories to tabloids in an effort to promote the band.
“We always knew Louis had media connections,” he said, “but we had no idea how far it went.”
That level of media manipulation, which had remained hidden for years, only became clear to the group while watching the documentary.

Despite the emotional toll, Keating acknowledged Walsh’s undeniable talent in keeping the band in the headlines — something Walsh himself took great pride in.
“He was brilliant at getting us on the front pages,” Keating shared, calling Walsh a true “powerhouse” in the industry.
While their relationship hasn’t always been smooth, Keating emphasized that Boyzone still appreciates what Walsh did for their careers.
“We might have disagreed sometimes, but we owe him a lot.”
The documentary has sparked a fresh wave of conversation among fans, shedding light on the blurred lines between publicity and privacy — and the emotional weight that often comes with life in the spotlight.
