CMA Fest in Nashville was full of exciting moments this year, and it all ended on Sunday night. One of the best days was the very first one, Thursday, June 6. That morning, the famous country singer Dolly Parton greeted fans at Fan Fair X. Then, something else big happened—rock star Jon Bon Jovi opened his brand-new restaurant and bar called JBJ’s Nashville. It’s now the tallest building on Broadway, a busy street in Nashville.
Jon Bon Jovi is the leader of a popular rock band named after him, Bon Jovi. He’s worked with Nashville musicians and songwriters for years, making music that helped him become famous. He loves Nashville so much that he calls it home for musicians, just like Hollywood is home for actors. “These are my people,” he said. He’s been coming to Nashville for 35 years and always wanted a place of his own here.
JBJ’s Nashville is a huge, fun spot that mixes rock and country vibes. It’s five stories tall with two rooftops where you can see all of downtown Nashville. Before it was built, that spot was just an empty parking lot—one of the last free spaces on Broadway. Now, it’s a giant building with almost 37,000 square feet, making it the second biggest place on the street. It’s perfect for parties, big events, or just watching live music.
Jon helped design everything himself, from the cool stage to the food and drinks menu. The stage has three levels and is super modern. The food is fancy but fun, with yummy appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and desserts. The drinks have silly names like “Tommy” and “Gina,” and there are shots called “Shot Thru The Heart” and “Steel Horse” that Jon says will surprise you in a good way.
The bar opened its doors on Thursday, June 6, right as CMA Fest started, even though the official big opening was two days later on Saturday. News 2 got to peek inside early. Jon’s band said they’d been visiting the building while it was still being made, wearing hard hats. Seeing it finished felt like opening presents on Christmas morning!
JBJ’s Nashville is a special place for music fans, food lovers, and anyone who wants to have a good time in Music City during CMA Fest.
