Alabama’s “Mountain Music” Performance: A Timeless Tribute to Country Legends

Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry from the country band ALABAMA gave an amazing performance of one of their most popular songs in a special sneak peek clip.

Tonight, ALABAMA will be on TV in a big show called CMT GIANTS: ALABAMA. This program celebrates their incredible career and how much they’ve done for country music. It’s airing on CMT, a channel all about country music.

The show has a bunch of famous singers performing ALABAMA’s songs, like Blake Shelton with Steve Wariner and Kara Britz, Brad Paisley, Jamey Johnson, Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Pam Tillis with Lorrie Morgan, Riley Green, and Sam Hunt. ALABAMA themselves will also sing two of their hits, “Mountain Music” and “My Home’s in Alabama.”

Other big names, like Evander Holyfield, Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, Martina McBride, and Vince Gill, will pop in too—some in person, some on video—to talk about how ALABAMA’s music touched their lives. The special will also show old photos, videos of past performances, and interviews from years ago. Plus, there’s a new chat with ALABAMA where they look back on all the great things they’ve done.

Before the big show starts, CMT shared a little preview of ALABAMA singing “Mountain Music.” It happened at a place called Belmont’s Fisher Center in Nashville, where a small crowd clapped along. Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry sang the song with the same energy they’ve brought to it for years, showing why they’re such a loved band.
