Paul McCartney and His Funny Side
Have you ever thought about how Paul McCartney makes his songs? He’s not just a super famous singer—he’s also great at writing music. To us regular people, it’s amazing how he keeps creating such wonderful songs. If someone made a long movie just showing him writing music for eight hours, we’d totally watch it!
Back in September 2018, Paul, who fans call “Macca,” went on a TV show called The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. He told everyone how he writes his songs. He said that when he’s feeling grumpy or sad, writing music cheers him up.
“It’s a fun thing to do,” Paul said. “It’s like giving yourself a big hug. If you’re upset, you can grab a guitar, sing about what’s bothering you, and figure things out.”
Jimmy Fallon, the host, thought this sounded cool and wanted to see it in action. So, he tried to annoy Paul a little bit. It worked! Paul made up a silly, angry song about Jimmy right there on the spot.
You can’t help but like Paul—he’s so much fun!
