Kelly Osbourne has shared an incredibly touching insight into the bond between her young son Sidney and his late grandfather, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, revealing that the three-year-old continues to talk to his “Papa” every single day.
Ozzy, the iconic Black Sabbath frontman, died at the age of 76 in July 2025, surrounded by his family. His death marked the end of an extraordinary career spanning decades, but for Kelly and her family, his absence has been felt most deeply at home.
In a recent interview with HELLO! Magazine, Kelly revealed that Sidney has maintained a remarkable connection with his grandfather despite Ozzy no longer being physically present. According to Kelly, the little boy speaks to his “Papa” every day, something she finds both heartbreaking and comforting.
The connection between Sidney and Ozzy was particularly special because the pair were able to spend precious time together before the musician’s death. Just two days before Ozzy passed away, Kelly shared footage showing her father spending time with her and Sidney at home. The intimate moment offered a glimpse of the relationship the legendary rocker had developed with his grandson.
Kelly has previously spoken about how much Sidney reminds her of her father. From his smile to his personality and mannerisms, she has noticed qualities in her son that remind her of Ozzy, making the little boy an especially meaningful connection to the grandfather he adored.
In another emotional moment, Sidney was previously filmed referring to Ozzy as “Papa” and saying that he “lives in my heart.” The innocent words from the young child touched Kelly deeply and demonstrated how strongly Ozzy remains part of his family’s everyday life.
Kelly has also revealed that she has been going through an incredibly difficult period since losing her father. Ozzy’s death came after years of health struggles, and Kelly has described the past year as one of the hardest of her life.
Yet motherhood has given her a source of comfort during the grieving process. Watching Sidney grow and seeing glimpses of Ozzy in him has allowed Kelly to feel that a part of her father remains present.
The bond also reflects how important family was to Ozzy in his final years. Although he was known worldwide for his wild stage persona and decades of rock ‘n’ roll excess, those close to him have repeatedly highlighted his role as a father and grandfather.
Ozzy was a father of six and a grandfather to 10 grandchildren, with his family remaining an important part of his life.
For Kelly, Sidney’s daily conversations with his late grandfather appear to be more than a sweet childhood habit. They are a reminder that love can continue even after someone is gone.
As Sidney grows older, he may not remember every moment he shared with Ozzy. But through family stories, photographs and the memories passed down by Kelly and the rest of the Osbourne family, his grandfather’s presence will continue to be part of his life.
And for Kelly, hearing her little boy talk about his “Papa” every day may be one of the most emotional reminders that Ozzy’s legacy lives on through the next generation.
