Jack Osbourne reveals he and wife Aree raise five kids without a nanny: ‘You find a rhythm’

Jack Osbourne has opened up about life as a father of five, revealing that he and his wife, Aree Osbourne, have chosen to raise their children without a nanny.

The Osbournes star and Aree recently spoke about their family life at an Emmy nominees event in Los Angeles, where they shared how they have adjusted since welcoming their youngest daughter earlier this year.

“Yeah. So we don’t do the nanny thing,” Jack told PEOPLE, explaining that he initially expected managing such a busy household to be much more difficult.

“But you find a rhythm,” he added, describing how the couple has gradually settled into a routine.

Jack, 40, and Aree, 35, share two daughters together: four-year-old Maple and six-month-old Ozzy Matilda, who was born in March. Jack also has three older children — Pearl, 14, Andy, 11, and Minnie, 8 — from his previous marriage to Lisa Stelly.

Aree is a full-time stay-at-home mom, and the couple said they have managed the demands of parenting by working together rather than relying on a nanny.

Their youngest daughter has also brought a particularly emotional connection to Jack’s late father, Ozzy Osbourne. The baby was named Ozzy Matilda in honor of the legendary Black Sabbath singer, who died in July.

Jack had been able to tell his father about Aree’s pregnancy before Ozzy’s death. He previously described the pregnancy as a source of hope for the family during an incredibly difficult period of grief.

Despite growing up in one of rock music’s most famous families, Jack has also said that his own approach to parenting is more structured than the way he was raised.

He previously explained that he does not want to take his children out of school simply to travel and believes having structure is healthy. His comments offer a glimpse into how he has developed his own parenting philosophy while raising a new generation of Osbournes.

The couple recently celebrated another milestone when Maple started preschool. According to her parents, the first day went surprisingly smoothly, with no tears and little hesitation from their four-year-old.

Aree also shared a sweet update about baby Ozzy Matilda, describing her as happy and doing well.

For Jack, life as a father of five may be busy, but he appears to have found a routine that works for his growing family.

And while raising five children without a nanny might sound daunting, Jack’s simple explanation says it all: eventually, “you find a rhythm.”
