Have you ever wondered how country singer LeAnn Rimes became a superstar when she was so young? It all started in 1990 when she was only 8 years old. She went on a TV show called Star Search, where kids compete by singing.
LeAnn dressed up in a bright skirt, a black top with short sleeves, and a black choker necklace. Her blonde hair was curled and tied back with a big bow. She looked ready to shine! She sang a song called “Don’t Worry ‘Bout Me” by Marty Robbins, a famous country singer. Her voice was so good that the judges gave her 3.75 stars out of 4!
She was up against an 11-year-old boy named Levi Garret. LeAnn’s singing was so amazing that even Levi said nice things about her. They met at the show in Fort Worth, Texas, and Levi told everyone, “She’s the best little girl singer I’ve ever heard in the whole world!” They became friends and even sang a fun duet together called “Hey Good Lookin’.”
