New developments in the Diddy criminal case have sparked fresh controversy — federal prosecutors just confirmed they have two videos showing Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly beating Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway, including the original surveillance footage from the hotel itself.

The news came during a pretrial hearing on Friday, where Diddy’s legal team went head-to-head with prosecutors in court.

What’s New in the Case?

The judge asked prosecutors directly if they had the original hotel security footage, and they responded yes — confirming they possess both:

  • The CNN version of the video
  • A recording of the original surveillance video

This is a big twist, especially since Diddy’s lawyers previously claimed that CNN had altered the only existing version of the footage and destroyed the original.

Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, stood by their claims in court — saying the CNN video was edited using free software, and accusing the network of:

  • Speeding up the footage
  • Reordering the sequence
  • Removing time stamps

They argue that the edited video is misleading and should be excluded from trial evidence.

Prosecutors Want to Use the Video Anyway

While Diddy is not facing charges specifically for the 2016 Cassie incident (due to expired statute of limitations under state law), federal prosecutors want to use the footage to show a pattern of alleged violent behavior.

The judge acknowledged the conflict and suggested a compromise: re-editing or slowing down the video for fairness. Both sides were urged to work together on a solution.

More Victims Added to the Case

In a separate bombshell, prosecutors also revealed that two new alleged victims have been added to the case. The judge ordered the government to disclose their identities to Diddy’s legal team as the case builds further momentum.
