Fans of the late rapper XXXTENTACION are heartbroken after a touching image of his son, Gekyume, recently surfaced online. In the photo, the 6-year-old is seen holding up his phone, which displays a Photoshopped image of himself, his mom, and XXXTENTACION — a bittersweet moment, considering Gekyume never got the chance to meet his father, who was tragically killed just months before his birth.
The emotional picture quickly made waves on social media. One person wrote, “One of the saddest things I’ve ever seen,” while another added, “That’s so bittersweet.” The overwhelming response reflects just how deeply fans still feel connected to X and his legacy.
Meanwhile, Michael Boatwright, one of the three men convicted in XXXTENTACION’s 2018 murder, is once again under fire for his behavior. Despite being sentenced to life in prison, Boatwright has refused to apologize, claiming on social media: “I’m not this evil person everyone thinks I am… I’m not sorry for nothing I did.”
In another shocking twist, Boatwright — or whoever manages his Instagram account from behind bars — previously mocked X’s son by posting a video of Gekyume walking around his house pointing at photos of his father, overlaying the clip with laughing emojis. He even tagged Gekyume’s mother, Jenesis Sanchez, saying: “She watchin,” followed by more emojis, and disturbingly asked someone to tell her to contact him.
These posts were met with public outrage. One user slammed Boatwright, saying: “Michael Boatwright is one evil soul — laughing at X’s son, mocking his baby mother, and flaunting stolen cash on his profile is disgusting.” Another wrote: “He deserves to rot in jail.”
In 2023, Boatwright and his co-defendants Dedrick Williams and Trayvon Newsome were sentenced to life imprisonment without parole for the murder of XXXTENTACION outside a Florida motorcycle dealership.
