Post Malone and Ashley McBryde were among the many performers at Opry 100 on Wednesday night, March 19. Originally, Jelly Roll was supposed to perform with Ashley, but at the last minute, Post Malone stepped in. It is unclear why Jelly Roll did not appear.
What Is Opry 100?
The Grand Ole Opry is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a special event called Opry 100. The show aired live on NBC and Peacock on March 19 at 8/7c, directly from the Grand Ole Opry House.
Leading up to the big night, the Opry announced an all-star lineup featuring some of the biggest names in country music. Performers included Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, Trisha Yearwood, Clint Black, Luke Combs, Garth Brooks, Lainey Wilson, Trace Adkins, Brad Paisley, Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Carly Pearce, and many more. Special guests like Barbara Mandrell, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, and Chris Janson also made appearances.
Ashley McBryde’s History with the Opry
Ashley McBryde first performed at the Grand Ole Opry on June 16, 2017. That night, she introduced her song “Girl Goin’ Nowhere” and shared a story about a teacher who once told her that becoming a country singer was “stupid.” Her emotional performance proved how wrong that teacher was.
Since then, Ashley has performed at the Opry many times. On October 6, 2022, Garth Brooks surprised her during an interview and invited her to become an official Grand Ole Opry member. She was inducted on December 10, 2022, in a ceremony featuring Eric Church, Terri Clark, and Wynonna Judd.
Ashley has always considered the Opry to be a great honor. She once said, “The Opry is like the Hollywood of country music. This is the highest achievement, like getting your face on Mount Rushmore.”
Post Malone’s Opry Debut
Post Malone performed at the Grand Ole Opry for the first time on August 14, 2024. His participation in Opry 100 was a special moment, as he continues to explore different styles of music beyond his usual hip-hop and pop sound.

One of the highlights of Opry 100 was Ashley McBryde and Post Malone’s performance of “Jackson,” a classic song by Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. Their duet was a crowd favorite, getting everyone on their feet and singing along.
