He has rapped Eminem songs in China and shouted him out on streams. Now IShowSpeed is making it personal by leaving a voice message in Em’s Instagram DMs.

The YouTuber and streamer, known for his explosive energy and love for the GOAT, was mid-haircut when he decided to shoot his shot. Clipper buzz in the background, Speed poured his heart out:

“Yo, Eminem, man, big fan, bro! I’ve been watching your movie since I was 11 years old. You are really my favourite rapper, bro. Pleeeeease, text me back. Love you, man. I know every song of yours, writing and singing, word for word, heart by heart. From the same city you are. I know everything about you, bro. Please text me back. I love you, man”.

Speed has never been shy about his admiration. During a recent visit to Chengdu, China, he hyped up crowds by rapping Em’s songs and naming him his all-time favourite. But now, with a rap career on the horizon, he is looking for more than fandom. He wants a connection.

Still, Eminem’s inbox probably gets more fan mail than Santa Claus, and Speed’s from-Detroit-too pitch is one Em has heard before. The Detroit legend stays tuned in to what the young generation is doing, but when and where he responds is entirely up to him.
