AC/DC has started their first North American tour in nine years. The tour, named ‘PWR UP’, includes 13 shows across the continent in six weeks. The last show will be on May 28 at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland. The tour also introduces the band’s new lineup: singer Brian Johnson, guitarists Angus and Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and bassist Chris Chaney, known from Jane’s Addiction and Alanis Morissette.

Their first show was held on Thursday night (April 10) at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The 1980 classic album ‘Back In Black’ was highlighted with five songs. The show began with ‘Highway To Hell’ and ‘If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)’.

AC/DC’s Album and News

The ‘Power Up’ tour is named after AC/DC’s 2020 album, their 17th studio record. In other news, Dua Lipa recently performed ‘Highway To Hell’ during a show in Melbourne last month.

Album Review

NME gave ‘Power Up’ a four-star review, saying, “By the time things wrap up on ‘Code Red’, which sees the band firing on all cylinders, it becomes clear that their steadfast refusal to adapt or change is no bad thing. While far from a reinvention of the wheel, ‘Power Up’ is a joyous celebration of the unbridled heavy rock that has served them well for almost 50 years and, we can hope, a unifying cry for the future.”
