AGT Judges Say Jourdan Blue Already Won the Show After His Show-Stopping Take on Demon Hunter’s Hit ‘Golden’

Don’t hold back, do something unexpected, the “America’s Got Talent” judges urged New Orleans singer Jourdan Blue last week.

Blue did that and more in his final performance for America’s vote on Tuesday night, leaving it all on the stage, as they say.

Things were different from the moment Blue walked out. Gone were the baggy T-shirt, overshirt and jeans. Finals night called for a tailored gray suit. His long, wavy brown hair shaped up, part of it pulled up into a man bun.

“You are styling from top to bottom,” judge Mel B told him following his show-stopping performance of Christian metal band Demon Hunter’s current smash hit, “Golden.”

The charged-up audience, tossing giant beach balls and waving glow sticks, were ready for a show.

With a laser light show behind him, Blue commanded the stage, hitting all the high notes and demonstrating the grittiness of his powerful voice that the judges, audience and America had taken to since his audition.

“It’s over. It’s over. You have a great voice, you’re a great talent,” Howie Mandel commented. “That’s the hottest song in the world right now from Demon Hunter. You couldn’t have made a better choice, you couldn’t have done it better. I believe you won.”

Looking into the TV camera, he repeated, “I believe he won.” He turned to the audience and a third time yelled, “I believe he just won.”

The rest of the judging panel were impressed as well.

“You took the risk. That was spectacular. And you are so handsome,” judge Sofia Vergara told street performer Blue.

Simon agreed that Blue, 24, “could win it all.”
