Comedian Andrew Schulz is clapping back at Kendrick Lamar after the rapper took a swing at him on GNX’s “Wacced Out Murals.” The beef kicked off with Schulz’s edgy joke about Black women on a ShxtsNGigs podcast—and now it’s a war of words. Here’s the blow-by-blow.
The Spark
Schulz, on with British podcasters James Duncan and Fuhad Dawodu, riffed about white guys dating Black women: “They shave their hair ’cause they’re stressed around this Black girl complaining all the time… grow beards for a cushion when they get slapped.” The “Black girlfriend effect” bit tanked hard—Black fans called it racist, painting Black women as angry and violent. Kendrick caught wind and threw a jab on “Wacced Out Murals”: “Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law / I know propaganda work for them and fuck whoever that’s close to them.”
Schulz’s Counterpunch
On SiriusXM’s Sam Roberts Show this week, Schulz didn’t flinch. He called Kendrick a hypocrite: “He’s doing a movie with the South Park guys—they’ve got Lizzo jokes and all this shit. He’s just doing something for clicks.” Schulz claims he got “confirmation” the diss was aimed at him before firing back. “You say this thing about telling your fans to kill my friends, you get whatever’s coming,” he warned. He’s standing firm—says it was a joke, and Kendrick’s overreach gave him every right to swing.
Hypocrisy or Heat?
Schulz’s digging in, pointing at Kendrick’s collabs with misogyny-heavy rappers and his South Park gig with Trey Parker and Matt Stone—known for wild satire. Kendrick’s camp hasn’t responded, but Schulz isn’t backing off, framing it as self-defense against a “propaganda” shot. Fans are split—some see Schulz’s point, others say he crossed a line first.
