Cardi B is breaking her silence — and her distractions — as she gears up to finally release her long-awaited sophomore album, and fans can expect some big-name collaborations when it drops.
Speaking candidly during a recent X Spaces session, the Bronx rapper hyped her upcoming project, which will serve as the follow-up to her Grammy-winning 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy.
“The features on my album are really good,” Cardi revealed. “I don’t have a lot of features, but I’m working with artists — some that I have worked with before and some that I haven’t worked with before. And the ones that I have not worked with before, I feel like it’s gonna really, really surprise y’all.”
She added:
“It’s such a vibe. I’m 100 percent confident with this album. I just don’t think what I got is out there.”

Laser-Focused — No Distractions Allowed
The rapper, who has reportedly been linked to NFL star Stefon Diggs, previously vowed to put her dating life on hold to stay locked in on the album.
“I don’t even want to take dick right now, because every single time I take dick, I get distracted,” Cardi said bluntly in a January livestream.
“January is very, very important, and I have a mission to complete… If I don’t complete this mission, it’s gonna f**k up the schedule for this year.”
Cardi opened up further about how emotions and distractions impact her creative process, explaining that even a delayed text response could derail her focus.
“I don’t even want to entertain n****s right now until my work is out the way,” she said. “I just don’t got thrive when I get emotional.”
Where’s the Album?
It’s been eight years since Invasion of Privacy, which spawned hits like “Bodak Yellow,” “I Like It,” and “Be Careful.” While Cardi has remained a cultural force with smash singles like “Up,” “Enough (Miami),” and the viral anthem “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, an official second album has yet to materialize.
Despite the delays, her recent statements and confirmed features signal that 2025 may finally be the year fans get the project they’ve been waiting for — with some potentially game-changing collaborations to sweeten the wait.
Final Thoughts
With her renewed focus, confidence in the music, and hints at A-list guest appearances, Cardi B’s second album is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated drops of 2025. While the release date remains under wraps, Bardi Gang may not have to wait much longer.
