Vince Gill and Amy Grant are a famous music couple with 28 Grammy Awards, but Vince says their youngest daughter, Corrina, is the real star of the family. Corrina, who is 24, just released her first album called House On Another Street on February 7. She also sang a beautiful version of a Taylor Swift song that everyone is talking about.
Corrina’s Amazing Taylor Swift Cover
Taylor Swift wrote a sad song called “Right Where You Left Me” about a girl stuck in time after a breakup. It was a special extra song on her 2020 album Evermore. The song says, “Did you ever hear about the girl who got frozen?” and talks about a 23-year-old girl dreaming of how life should have been. Right before her 24th birthday on March 12, Corrina sang her own simple, guitar-only version of this song and shared it online. She said, “Last week of being 23, so I had to sing this song.”
From the very first note, you can tell Corrina got her singing talent from her parents. People on Instagram loved it! One person wrote, “Oh my gosh, this is so pretty!” Another said, “I want to listen to it over and over.” I’m a big Taylor Swift fan, and I think Corrina’s version is awesome!
You can hear a little bit of Taylor Swift’s style in Corrina’s own songs too. Last year, she shared a song called “Too Much” and said it was for anyone who’s been told they feel too many emotions.
Why Vince Gill Likes Taylor Swift
Vince Gill, who has won 18 CMA Awards and is known as a super nice guy, is also a Taylor Swift fan. Back in 2013, he got upset when someone booed Taylor’s name while he was talking about practicing with her for a big show. Later, he said, “I love Taylor. She doesn’t remind me of old country singers like Loretta Lynn or Kitty Wells, but that’s fine. She has something special that pulls people in, and you can’t ignore it. That’s what makes her great.”
