Diddy Searching For Black Female Lawyer To Join Trial Team

With less than three weeks until jury selection begins, Diddy and his legal team are scrambling to strengthen their defense in his high-profile federal sex trafficking case.

Currently led by attorneys Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos, both white men, the team is now actively seeking to add a Black woman attorney before trial proceedings start on May 5.

Sources told TMZ that this move isn’t just about optics — although Diddy’s team has long argued that the case is part of a broader agenda to bring down a successful Black man. They want someone who brings both courtroom experience and cultural understanding to the table.

Agnifilo and Geragos will still lead the defense, but they believe this addition could provide crucial support as the case heats up.

Meanwhile, Diddy — real name Sean Combs — appeared in Manhattan court on April 14 to enter a plea on additional federal charges of sex trafficking and transporting individuals for prostitution. As expected, he pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The third superseding indictment includes two new allegations, accusing Diddy of forcing or coercing a woman, referred to as Victim-2, into commercial sex acts between 2021 and 2024. Prosecutors also claim he transported her and other women across state lines for prostitution.

Diddy’s legal team responded swiftly, stating:

“These are not new allegations or new accusers. These are the same individuals, former long-term girlfriends, who were involved in consensual relationships. This was their private sex life, defined by consent, not coercion.”

Prosecutors say four women are set to testify against the Bad Boy Records founder. The most high-profile among them is reportedly Cassie, his former girlfriend, who is listed as Victim-1 and is said to be willing to testify publicly under her real name.

The defense is also requesting to delay the trial by at least two weeks to allow time for preparation and possibly finalize the addition of their new team member.
