Drake has taken shots at the Grammys after Kendrick Lamar won big at the awards earlier this month. Kendrick’s diss track ‘Not Like Us’ won five awards, including ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Record of the Year,’ ‘Best Rap Song,’ ‘Best Music Video,’ and ‘Best Rap Performance.’

Canadian artist Preme shared a conversation with Drake on Instagram Stories. In response, Drake downplayed his own Grammy wins, saying, “I keep Grammys on the floor in the ladies’ bathroom in my bedroom. Yes, my bathroom has a ladies’ bathroom.”

Drake has won five Grammys in his career, the same number Kendrick won for ‘Not Like Us’ at the 2025 ceremony. His past wins include ‘Best Rap Album’ for Take Care, ‘Best Rap Song’ and ‘Best Rap/Sung Performance’ for ‘Hotline Bling,’ ‘Best Rap Song’ for ‘God’s Plan,’ and ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ for ‘Wait for U’ with Future and Tems.

Drake has criticized the Grammys before. After losing all four nominations in 2024, he reminded artists that the awards are based on opinions, not facts. “This show isn’t the facts — it’s just the opinion of a group of people whose names are kept secret,” he wrote on social media. “Congrats to anybody winning, but this show doesn’t dictate anything in hip-hop.”

He also shared a clip of his 2019 acceptance speech, where he told artists they don’t need a Grammy to be successful. “You’ve already won if people sing your songs word for word, if you’re a hero in your hometown, and if fans spend their hard-earned money to see you perform,” he said.

Drake even boycotted the Grammys in 2022, pulling Certified Lover Boy from ‘Best Rap Album’ and ‘Way 2 Sexy’ from ‘Best Rap Performance.’
