Eminem and his ex-wife Kim Scott (formerly Kim Mathers) have had a rocky past, but it seems they are trying to move forward. The two were recently spotted together at their niece’s wedding, sparking rumors of a possible reconciliation—or at least a truce.
Adding to the speculation, Eminem’s company reportedly approved a massive loan to help Kim buy a house. But their history is far from smooth. From public fights and divorce drama to brutal diss tracks, their relationship has been anything but ordinary.

Before Eminem became a global rap icon, Kim said their relationship was much different.
🔹 “If he got kicked out, I would walk the streets with him until he found a place to live. If I got kicked out, he was always there for me.”
But fame, she claims, changed him.
🔹 “He would constantly try to belittle me and make me feel like I should be grateful to be with him.”
She also admitted that she stayed in the marriage out of loneliness, struggling with low self-esteem and a need for love and attention.
What Led to Their Final Split?
The breaking point came when Eminem allegedly attacked a man he saw kissing Kim, which led to their divorce.
Kim also recalled a mysterious falling-out between her and Eminem’s brother, which resulted in Eminem leaving a cryptic note before disappearing for a month.

Eminem’s Diss Tracks Humiliated Kim
As if their personal struggles weren’t enough, Eminem aired their dirty laundry in his music, frequently dissing Kim in brutal lyrics.

🔹 “This is supposed to be a man that loves me, who should protect me from being hurt. Instead, he was disrespecting me in the worst way, in front of millions.”
These songs deeply affected Kim, as well as their children and her family.
Eminem Finally Apologized—Through a Song
In 2017, Eminem addressed his past mistakes in the song Bad Husband from his album Revival, acknowledging how poorly he treated Kim.
Though their past was full of pain and public drama, their recent family gathering suggests they may finally be moving toward a more peaceful relationship.
