Less than three weeks after winning American Idol Season 23, Jamal Roberts is doing exactly what he’s always dreamed of—recording music, performing on big stages, and working with his heroes.
New Music and a Nashville Takeover
On June 6, Roberts gave fans a glimpse into his post-Idol life with behind-the-scenes posts from a Nashville studio session, exciting teases about new music, and even a collaboration with gospel legend Kirk Franklin.
The recording session followed Roberts’ appearance at the 19 Recordings/BMG Takeover on June 4, where he performed alongside fellow Idol alumni. Two days later, he shared photos from East Iris Studios, writing:
