Ice Cube made a big entrance to celebrate the Los Angeles Dodgers on Opening Day of the 2025 MLB season. A longtime Dodgers fan, Cube showed up in true L.A. fashion — riding onto the field in a custom blue 1957 Chevy Impala.
The event took place on Thursday, March 27, where Ice Cube presented the Commissioner’s Trophy to the Dodgers, who are the defending World Series champions. The Dodgers’ official social media shared photos from the moment with the perfect caption: “It Was A Good Day” — a nod to Ice Cube’s iconic 1992 hit.
But that’s not all Cube has going on.
Earlier this month, Mike Epps confirmed that the long-awaited fourth installment of the Friday movie series is officially in the works. Speaking on The Breakfast Club on March 4, Epps revealed, “Cube called me the other day and said, ‘We just finished the deal.’ So we doing Last Friday.”
While he hasn’t seen the script yet, Epps promised the movie will bring together both OGs and new-school comedians like DC Young Fly, making it a fresh but familiar experience. And of course, fans are hoping Chris Tucker returns as Smokey.
Epps added, “Chris, if you’re listening — we need ya, baby boy. Come on back!”
Back in October, Ice Cube gave fans a teaser about the new movie during an appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast. He said the next Friday film will blend new and returning characters, updated storylines, and that same relatable vibe fans love.
“Everyone has lived a thousand Fridays,” Cube said. And it looks like he’s ready to bring that experience back to the big screen.
