Jelly Roll, the famous country singer, is about to try something new. He’s going to act in a TV show called Fire Country on CBS. This will be his first time playing a character that’s different from his real self. Some people might think he already acted in Tulsa King, but in that show, he played someone a lot like himself. This time, it’s a real acting challenge!
In Fire Country, Jelly Roll will play a character named Noah, which is also the name of his real-life son. Noah is a healthcare worker who used to be in trouble with the law but is now trying to make his life better. He helps people who are sick, like his mom, and their families who find it hard to say goodbye to their loved ones. This sounds a little like Jelly Roll’s own life, where he’s worked hard to turn things around.
The episode with Jelly Roll will air on April 11th. On the same day, he’s also releasing a new song called “Dreams Don’t Die.” How cool is that? You’ll even hear the song in the Fire Country episode! The TV show shared a little preview of it online, and it sounds like another great Jelly Roll song. In the snippet, he sings about never giving up on your dreams. Even if one dream fades away, there’s always a new one waiting to grow big and bright.
The preview of “Dreams Don’t Die” goes like this: “How many dreams have I seen burn up like ashes? … Where dreams don’t die.” It’s all about keeping hope alive, and I can’t wait to hear the whole song. Next week is going to be exciting with both the new song and Jelly Roll’s acting debut on TV.
