Joe Budden is facing a new lawsuit just months after being cleared of lewdness charges related to a December incident where he was reportedly naked in public and tried to enter a neighbor’s apartment. Now, those same neighbors are suing both Budden and his podcast co-host Melyssa Ford, accusing them of harassment and retaliation.
📄 According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Thomas Mirigliano filed the lawsuit on behalf of John and Yuliya Aksoy. The Aksoys claim Budden launched a “campaign of intimidation and retribution” after they complained about the disruptive noise from The Joe Budden Podcast, which he allegedly records in their residential building.
The Aksoys say they confronted Budden about the noise and his marijuana use in shared areas, citing health concerns for their young daughter. Budden allegedly responded by accusing Yuliya of racist remarks and claimed to have audio proof, though he has not released the recording.
📢 The lawsuit references an episode of Budden’s podcast on October 19, where he allegedly played loud music, fake gunshots, and sirens for eight minutes—intentionally disturbing the Aksoys and referring to them as “the neighbors” in a negative tone.
The couple also accuses Budden of downplaying the nude hallway incident, joking about it publicly while door camera footage shows him naked outside their home. Though he blamed the incident on sleepwalking and denied any inappropriate behavior, the Aksoys say he was barred from the building, only to return the following week.
Budden’s legal team has fired back, calling the lawsuit “a money grab attempt by a person we believe to be a racist.”
As the situation escalates, fans and critics alike are watching closely to see how this high-profile conflict unfolds.
