Kane Brown gave his fans a special treat at his Oklahoma concert on Saturday, August 20. He invited country music legend Randy Travis to join him on stage during the show. Randy Travis, who uses a red wheelchair, smiled happily as Kane sang “Three Wooden Crosses,” a famous song Travis made popular in 2002.
At first, Kane stood while singing, but after the first chorus, he wanted to be closer to Travis, someone he has looked up to for a long time. “Hey, can I get a chair?” Kane asked, as seen in videos fans took of the moment. He then sat down next to Travis and kept singing. The crowd cheered loudly, and Kane asked them to sing along to honor Travis, who waved at everyone while listening.
This wasn’t the first time Kane chose this song to show his love for Travis. In 2021, he sang it at the CMT Artists of the Year event, where Travis got a big award called the Artist of a Lifetime Award. For Kane, singing “Three Wooden Crosses” is extra special because back in 2016, when he was just starting out, he was performing that same song on a radio show when Travis surprised him by walking out to join him.
Kane has a busy summer ahead. Along with performing at many concerts, he’s getting ready to share his new album, Different Man, with the world on September 9.
