Lainey Wilson Delivers Rockin’ Cover Of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer”

This week, the Country Radio Seminar (CRS) is happening in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s a big event where radio people, music experts, and lots of artists come together for several days. Lainey Wilson, a super fun country singer, performed there and did something exciting—she sang a famous song by Bon Jovi called “Livin’ on a Prayer.” This song comes from Bon Jovi’s 1986 album called Slippery When Wet, which was a huge hit and reached number one in places like the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Norway, and was in the top five in many other countries.

Lainey’s music often has a rock and roll feel, so singing “Livin’ on a Prayer” felt just right for her. It was amazing to see her get all the grown-ups at the conference so excited about her performance—it felt more like a big rock concert than a work meeting! Lainey is full of energy and can make almost any crowd jump up and cheer, but this performance was extra special. Maybe she felt extra happy because she just got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, “Duck” Hodges, but she always gives her best, and it’s cool that she chose to sing something different instead of one of her own popular songs, like many other artists do.

Lainey has been singing classic rock songs like this for a long time. When she was starting out, she even shared videos of herself singing these songs on social media, so it’s something she loves and does really well. Last year, she also performed with the Rolling Stones and sang “Dead Flowers” with them, which was awesome too.

I think Lainey should add “Livin’ on a Prayer” to her regular shows—it’s always fun for the audience, and she sings it so easily and with so much joy!
