Lainey Wilson has one more accomplishment to add to her already impressive resume….membership in the Grand Ole Opry

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Lainey Wilson had a night she’ll always remember. The country singer, known for her song “Heart Like A Truck,” performed on the season 25 finale of The Voice. But the biggest surprise came when Reba McEntire, a famous singer and coach on the show, joined her on stage and gave her amazing news.

Lainey sang her new song “Hang Tight Honey,” and the crowd loved it. Then, the host, Carson Daly, asked Reba to talk. Reba walked over to Lainey and said she was so proud of her. “You’re doing awesome in your career, and I’m happy if I helped you at all,” Reba said.

Lainey smiled and said, “You’re already so cool!” But she didn’t know Reba had an even bigger surprise. Reba told Lainey, “I’m proud of how you’re bringing younger and older country fans together. And I want to be the one to invite you to join the Grand Ole Opry!”

The Grand Ole Opry is a super special place where the best country singers perform. Lainey was shocked and so happy that she almost cried. Her family was there watching, which made it even more special.

Lainey told Reba a story from when she was little. “When I was 9, my family took me to Nashville, and we went to the Grand Ole Opry. I saw great singers there, and I knew I wanted to perform on that stage someday. It’s crazy that you’re asking me to join because I look up to you so much—not just your music, but how kind and hard-working you are. You inspire me every day.”

It was a moment full of love and happiness. You can watch this special surprise in the video to see Lainey’s dream come true!
