How Lainey Wilson Joined the Opry
Lainey Wilson became a member of the Grand Ole Opry on June 7, 2024. She was invited to join on May 21, 2024, by Reba McEntire, a super famous singer, during the last episode of The Voice Season 25. Lainey had just finished singing on the show when Reba surprised her with the big question.

Lainey was so excited! She told Reba, “I look up to you so much—not just your music, but how hard you work and how kind you are. You inspire me every day.” She also shared a memory from when she was nine years old. Her family took her to see the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and she watched singers like Bill Anderson and Crystal Gayle. That’s when she decided she wanted to perform there someday.
