Mickey Callisto, the Sunderland singer whose unforgettable performance in a Paris flashmob rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody captured global attention, has officially announced his first solo tour across the UK and Ireland. Fans can look forward to ten nights of music, surprises, and a few nods to Queen classics along the way.
Callisto, 28, rose to fame after the flashmob, filmed in the Place de la Contrescarpe, went viral, racking up millions of views across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Reddit.

The performance, led by pianist Julien Cohen and featuring 30 musicians—including young guitar prodigy Olly Pearson—was a spectacular tribute to the 1975 Queen hit. “Never in a million years would I have thought I would be coming in on a horse and carriage in Paris singing Bohemian Rhapsody,” Callisto said of the show-stopping stunt.
The viral sensation has only heightened excitement for his upcoming live shows. “I can finally announce that I’m going on a tour around the UK and Ireland in November,” Callisto shared on social media. “It’s going to be a 10-day tour, and tickets go on sale from tomorrow. I can’t wait to perform for you all, meet so many supporters, and share my new songs. And if you’re lucky, I might even throw in a couple of Queen songs.”

Callisto first wowed audiences on Britain’s Got Talent with his rendition of Who Wants To Live Forever, earning praise from judges including Simon Cowell: “The most important thing about these shows is you’ve got to be remembered… and people are going to like you, Mickey. You’ve got a great personality as well.” Alesha Dixon added, “Is this Mickey? Is this Freddie? But whatever it was, it’s sensational. Your voice is absolutely stunning.”

Inspired at seven by Durham Cathedral choristers, Callisto taught himself opera singing and later embraced Freddie Mercury’s operatic style, fusing it with his own musical creativity. His stage name, Callisto, was chosen at 14 after the Jupiter moon, reflecting his lifelong fascination with space.

Beyond his solo music, Callisto is also a celebrated Mercury impersonator, regularly touring and performing for diverse audiences. He recently launched Homospace, a monthly club night in Sunderland celebrating LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, featuring resident and guest DJs playing everything from Italo Disco to modern pop and house.
Callisto’s UK & Ireland tour promises an unforgettable experience, blending his original music with the timeless magic of Queen. Fans can expect an evening of energy, surprises, and the talent that has already captivated millions worldwide.
