Mickey Callisto shocks The Bradford Playhouse with “Bohemian Rhapsody”, leaving the crowd saying it felt like Freddie Mercury was alive again

Mickey Callisto Stuns Again With Bohemian Rhapsody as He Prepares to Bring Viral Queen Tribute to Carlisle

Leading the band at The Bradford Playhouse, Mickey Callisto once again left the audience jaw-dropped as they clapped along to the iconic Bohemian Rhapsody, which swelled so powerfully it sounded no different from a massive choir.

Even though he has sung this classic countless times, each performance feels like reliving Freddie Mercury’s magic all over again.

Callisto, who fronted the viral Queen flash mob in Paris earlier this year, has seen his career soar since the stunt.

The video, filmed in the Place de la Contrescarpe and featuring 30 surprise musicians, has racked up over 500 million views worldwide, drawing praise from the surviving members of Queen and sparking booking requests as far afield as Singapore and Amsterdam.

“I couldn’t believe it when the official Queen account commented ‘we absolutely love this,’” Callisto admitted. “It felt like scoring a goal at the Stadium of Light for Sunderland.”

Next summer, fans in Cumbria will get the chance to see the Sunderland-born singer live, as he takes centre stage at Carlisle’s Old Fire Station on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

He will lead the acclaimed tribute band Don’t Stop Queen Now, hailed as one of the finest celebrations of the group’s music. Backed by James Perkin (guitar/vocals), George Fayle (bass/vocals), Liam Latham (drums/vocals), and Dave Sayer (keyboard/vocoder), the band promises to bring Queen’s four-decade reign to life with energy and authenticity.
