Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda recently took time to connect with fans during a live Q&A on Twitch — and the conversation quickly turned to Eminem.
During the hour-long livestream, fans threw out all kinds of questions, including the idea of a rap battle between Shinoda and Eminem. One fan commented:
“Imagine Mike Shinoda having a rap battle with Eminem. Maybe they should go on Epic Rap Battles of History as themselves!”
Shinoda didn’t hesitate to respond with humor and praise:
“You mean imagine me like a toddler getting blown up by a nuclear weapon? Eminem is the greatest freestyle rapper, greatest battle rapper of all time. I don’t give a s–t what anybody says.”
What About a Collab With Eminem?
Another fan asked a more realistic question:
“If not a rap battle, please do a collab with Eminem — we all grew up listening to both Linkin Park and Eminem.”
Shinoda responded honestly:
“Am I gonna collab with Eminem? Probably not. I think Eminem is incredible, but it’s not on my to-do list.”
While fans were hopeful for a future crossover between the two legendary artists, Shinoda made it clear that while he deeply respects Eminem’s talent, a collaboration isn’t something currently in the works.
The video clip from the livestream has since been shared online and continues to spark conversation among fans of both Linkin Park and Eminem.
