Miley Cyrus’ Tearful Tribute to Taylor Hawkins: Emotional ‘Angels Like You’ Performance Goes Viral

Miley Cyrus was very sad when her friend Taylor Hawkins, a drummer for the band Foo Fighters, passed away at age 50. Just a few days earlier, Miley’s plane was hit by lightning while flying to Paraguay, and she talked to Taylor about it. She was heartbroken to learn he was gone.

Miley decided to honor Taylor during her concert at Lollapalooza in Brazil on Saturday. Before the show, she posted on Twitter that the performance was for him. She called Taylor an amazing person who loved rock music and said she would sing loudly to celebrate him. She believed Taylor’s spirit would be with her and the audience.

During the concert, Miley sang her song “Angels Like You” for Taylor and spoke about him with tears in her eyes. She shared that she called him after her scary plane landing because he was already at the festival. She wished she could have spent more time with him. Her sister, Brandi, shared a video of this moment online.

Miley also told her fans on Twitter that the past few days were tough. She was sick with bronchitis, had trouble with the high altitude, and faced the lightning strike on her plane. Losing Taylor made her feel even sadder, but she wanted to stay strong for herself and her fans. She said she would keep going and never give up.

On Sunday, Miley posted a picture from her tribute to Taylor and wrote that she could feel his energy during the show. She shared some words from her song “Inspired,” saying that death reminds us to value time and life. She also announced that her new album, Attention, will come out on April 1.

Taylor passed away in Colombia after feeling chest pains, and doctors later found some medicines and drugs in his body. Miley’s kind words and music showed how much she cared about her friend.
