Miranda Lambert always makes the ACM Awards exciting! Let’s look at some of her best moments, including a funny jab at her ex-husband, Blake Shelton, before this week’s big show.
A Playful Lyric Change
At one ACM Awards, Miranda sang a mix of her hit songs like “Kerosene” and “Gunpowder and Lead.” But the real surprise came during “Little Red Wagon.” Instead of singing “I live in Oklahoma,” she changed it to “I got the hell out of Oklahoma.” This was a cheeky nod to Blake, who is from Oklahoma. She had sung it this way before, but this was the first time Blake was in the audience! Fans were curious about his reaction, but the cameras didn’t show him. Miranda can change the lyrics because she doesn’t live in Oklahoma anymore, and it made her performance extra fun!
The fact @mirandalambert actually said I got the hell out of Oklahoma 😂😂👏👏 https://t.co/Kgxa2FpWk0

A Special Song with Blake
Even though Miranda and Blake tease each other, they share a sweet connection. They wrote a song called “Over You” about Blake’s brother who passed away. Miranda once said this song is very special to her and helped Blake’s family heal. It’s a reminder that they still care about each other.
Calling Out Ashton Kutcher
In 2012, Miranda had another unforgettable moment. Ashton Kutcher, an actor, performed at the ACMs dressed like a cowboy and sang a country song. Many fans, including Miranda, thought it wasn’t great and felt out of place. Later, when she spoke at the show, she called it a “silly moment” in ACM history. But a month later, she met Ashton at an event and learned he really loves country music, so they became friends!

Was Ashton Kutcher making fun of country or is it just me? Watching it back now and I’m kinda wondering?
