Amid Rihanna’s pregnancy, A$AP Rocky shared whether or not their third baby will follow family tradition of having an ‘R’ name like sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 22 months.

Days after Rihanna announced she’s pregnant with the couple’s third child, the “A$AP Forever” rapper—who shares sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 22 months, with the “Umbrella” singer—shared some insight into their approach to naming their baby on the way.
During the May 7 episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers, host Seth Meyers congratulated Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) on the baby news and inquired about some naming details.
“Your first two kids have ‘R’ names, obviously you and Rihanna have ‘R’ names,” Seth said. “Is this a lock that the third will have an ‘R’ name, do you think?”
In response, the 36-year-old confirmed that the new baby’s name would begin with an ‘R,’ sharing, “For sure.”
And while Rocky—who served as one of the co-chairs at the 2025 Met Gala, where Rihanna showed off her growing baby bump—may be keeping the full name close to his chest for now, he is certainly happy to no longer be keeping the pregnancy a secret.
“It feels amazing, you know?” he told The Associated Press at the May 5 event. “We were tired of holding that, and it was time to show the people what we was cooking up. I’m glad everybody’s happy for us, because we’re definitely happy.”
Rihanna (full name Robyn Rihanna Fenty) echoed her partner’s sentiment while climbing the stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

“I’m good, shockingly feeling OK,” she told Entertainment Tonight, “and not too overwhelmed at the moment. At first, I was kind of like—tired but I’m excited.”
Although Rihanna has baby on the brain, the 37-year-old confirmed her pregnancy won’t compel her to stop the music—specifically her highly-anticipated ninth album—though it may delay some of the visuals.
“Maybe a couple videos,” she confessed to the outlet, “but I can sing.”
