The incident, which has since gone viral, happened when Hayek, completely starstruck, saw Eminem right after his surprise performance of Lose Yourself. In her excitement, she accidentally spilled water on his hand before nervously hugging him and blurting out, “It’s so nice to meet you, Eminem—I’m a HUGE fan!”
She later shared the hilarious story on Instagram, admitting, “I was so shocked to see him that I poured water on him… If you look at our faces, I looked so embarrassed, and he was scared of me.”
Luckily, Eminem took it all in stride. In an interview with Rolling Stone, when asked about his Oscar experience, he simply smiled and said, “Absolutely—I got to hug Salma Hayek!”
