Scotty McCreery, a famous singer who won American Idol and recently joined the Grand Ole Opry, is teaching his little boy to love country music just like he does.
Scotty married his wife, Gabi, in 2018. They had a baby boy named Merrick Avery McCreery in October 2022. His name is special because Merrick comes from Gabi’s grandpa, and Avery is named after Avery County, where Scotty and Gabi live. They call him Avery for short.
Scotty loves sharing videos of him and Avery doing fun things together, like practicing golf or singing in the car. It’s easy to see they are best buddies, and it makes people smile to watch them.
Being a dad has also helped Scotty write new songs. He made songs like “Porch” and “Love Like This” because of his love for Avery.
