Sharon, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne Break Down on Podcast Saying “I Never Thought There’d Be a Day He Wouldn’t Be Here” While Sharing Heartfelt Memories of Ozzy

Navigating grief is never easy, especially when you lose someone who shaped your world. For the Osbournes, the family that once ruled reality TV, losing Ozzy meant losing their heartbeat. While the world celebrated the rock legend’s legacy, inside their home, a deafening silence settled in as they faced life without a father, husband, and the man who held them all together.

Months after gathering the courage to move on with their lives, the Osbourne family returned to “The Osbournes Podcast”. This episode comes after more than a year, and it releases what fans are calling their most emotional episode yet.

Sitting around a table filled with magazines featuring Ozzy Osbourne, the Black Sabbath frontman’s wife, Sharon, and children, Kelly and Jack, reflected on his life, legacy, and the pain of losing him.

Ozzy died in July at age 76 following a heart attack, after years of battling health complications, including Parkinson’s disease. His passing left a deep void in both his family and the millions of fans who admired him for decades.

Kelly, 41, was tearful as she described how deeply her father’s death has affected her. “The outpouring of love has been so helpful to us,” Kelly said. “To know that we’re not alone in our grief, in our sadness, and that the rest of the world loved him as much as we did… I haven’t seen an outpouring like that since Princess Diana died.”

“I never realized just how horrible grief is,” she said. “I never knew I was capable of loving somebody so much and missing somebody so much. I just never thought there’d be a day where he wouldn’t be here.”

She shared that mornings have been especially painful.

“I wake up and for the first three seconds I feel normal. And then I remember everything,” she admitted. “Mornings are the hardest for me because it happened in the morning. I used to spend most of my time with Dad in the morning.”

Kelly added that her 3-year-old son Sidney has been a source of comfort during her darkest days. “I’m just so grateful that Sidney got to meet him and that they had such a special little relationship.”

For Sharon Osbourne, who was married to Ozzy for 43 years, life without him has been a series of painful adjustments.

“I hate going to bed at night,” the 73-year-old shared. “Sleeping alone after decades together has been one of the hardest parts.”

Kelly revealed that she slept beside her mother for the first two months following Ozzy’s passing so Sharon wouldn’t be alone. Sharon described her grief as coming in unpredictable “waves,” explaining that some days feel manageable while others are “completely unbearable.”

Jack gently reminded her, “How blessed are you to have had a dad like him?” — a sentiment that resonated with listeners who have experienced similar losses.

Jack, 40, took a more introspective approach when reflecting on his father’s death.

“It sucks that he’s gone, but also, for me, it has led to a huge amount of gratitude and love,” he said. “It makes you cherish moments that at the time you take for granted.”

He described grief as “both horrible and beautiful in the way it forces you to unpack and examine things.”
Having children of his own, Jack said fatherhood has helped him cope. “Having the kids has been a huge help,” he noted, adding that it gives him perspective on the love and legacy his father left behind.

Remembering Ozzy’s Legacy: ‘He Didn’t Realize How Loved He Was’

Despite the family’s pain, they take comfort in knowing the world adored Ozzy as much as they did.

“Ozzy, he wouldn’t believe it,” Sharon said. “He didn’t realize how much he was loved, and that was his beauty — because he never took it for granted from anyone.”

As the family continues to heal, their heartfelt honesty reminds fans that behind the fame and chaos of The Osbournes lies a family bound by unconditional love, and a deep reverence for the man who held them all together.
