James McCartney, the 47-year-old son of music legend Sir Paul McCartney, looked stylish at a special screening of the new Beatles ’64 documentary in London on Thursday. He wore a cool black blazer with a fun pattern, a black T-shirt, grey pants, and fancy suede shoes. James also had a silver watch and gave a small smile to the cameras.
Other famous people at the event included Gary Kemp, Jeremy Irons, Sinead Cusack, Richard Curtis, Dodie Clark, Sir Bob Geldof, Jeanne Marine, Martin Freeman, Olivia Harrison, Tim McInnerny, and Margaret Bodde. Everyone was excited to see the new film about The Beatles.
The Beatles ’64 documentary is about the band’s first trip to the United States in 1964, when they became super famous. This time was called “Beatlemania” because so many fans loved them. The film has new interviews with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, plus old interviews with John Lennon and George Harrison, who are no longer with us.
Just a few days earlier, James’s dad, Paul McCartney, surprised fans at another screening of the film in New York City. The 82-year-old musician quietly sat in the audience with his wife, Nancy, near comedian Chris Rock. Fans were shocked when they realized Paul was there! One fan even said they cried during the first ten minutes of the movie. Others couldn’t believe they were in the same room as a Beatle, with some joking that Paul might have whispered, “I know those guys!” while pointing at the screen.
The Beatles ’64 documentary will be available to watch on Disney+ starting November 29. It’s a fun way to learn about the band that changed music forever!
