Tom Jones just wrapped a whirlwind of 74 gigs across 24 countries, and the man’s still got fire in his belly for more.
Fresh off his Ages & Stages world tour, the Welsh legend’s already itching to hit the stage again. His website’s got no dates pinned down yet, but Sir Tom took to X/Twitter to drop a promise that’s got fans buzzing—he’s not hanging up the mic anytime soon.
“Alright, folks, that’s the curtain call for the Ages & Stages Tour in 2024—what a ride!” he roared online. “Can’t thank you enough for piling into those shows. I know it’s no small feat to trek out for a concert these days, and believe me, every second you gave means the world.”
Hey everyone, that’s a wrap for our Ages & Stages Tour in 2024, and what a year it’s been! pic.twitter.com/WSNgWBaHEN

He went on, voice practically vibrating through the screen: “From up there under the lights, it’s been a bloody thrill for me, the band, and the crew to roll into your towns and belt it out for you. Singing’s my lifeblood—you lot know that—and sharing that rush with you? Nothing tops it. We smashed out 74 nights across 24 countries this year. Not too shabby for an old-timer, eh?”

He’s said before that only one thing could yank him offstage—if his voice gave out. “If my pipes faltered, I’d bow out,” he once confessed. “No way I’d cheat a crowd with half a show.” That’s the steel in him talking.
The Ages & Stages run was a victory lap for his 2021 gem, Surrounded By Time—a late-career knockout. It kicked off with Todd Snider’s gritty “Talking Reality Television Blues,” then spun through a smoky take on “The Windmills of Your Mind,” Bob Dylan’s “One More Cup of Coffee,” and Cat Stevens’ “Pop Star.” Catch him crooning “I’m Growing Old” live at Shepherd’s Bush Empire—it’s Tom Jones, raw and timeless, proving he’s still got the goods.
