When I heard that Snoop Dogg was joining The Voice Season 26 as a coach, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But after watching the premiere on NBC, one thing became clear—I never expected the legendary rapper to be so emotional.
Snoop Dogg Sheds Tears—Twice!
During the first round of Blind Auditions, Snoop joined fellow coaches Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, and Michael Bublé. But what surprised everyone was how deeply moved the 52-year-old rapper got during the show.
The first emotional moment happened when contestant Ben Fagerstedt performed Michael Bublé’s I’ve Got You Under My Skin. No coaches turned their chairs, but instead of letting Ben walk away empty-handed, Bublé stepped in and offered to mentor him personally.
Watching this heartfelt moment, Snoop Dogg wiped away tears and shared,
“That’s what this show is about—to make these people better at what they do, whether they make it to the show or not. That’s our job as coaches.”
Another Tearful Moment
Later in the episode, Snoop got emotional again when Reba McEntire used the new Coach Replay button.
This new feature allows a coach to bring back a singer they didn’t turn around for—giving them a second chance. After Kendall Eugene performed Don’t Think Jesus by Morgan Wallen, he was disappointed that no one picked him.
But just when it seemed like his journey was over, Reba hit the Coach Replay button, changing his fate. Watching the emotional moment unfold, Snoop Dogg broke down again and admitted,
“When I see a man cry, it makes me cry.”
Looks like The Voice is bringing out a softer side of Snoop, and fans are here for it!
