Tense Backstage Confrontation After The Voice Finale: Insiders Reveal a Coach’s Building Frustration Over a Major Production Oversight Led to a Visibly Shaken Moment — and a Shocking Decision Not to Return That Could Reshape the Show Forever

A fan-favorite coach on The Voice is not slated to return to the show after feeling ‘upset’ behind the scenes of Tuesday night’s live finale, The U.S. Sun has exclusively learned.

The two-night finale saw Niall Horan’s finalist, Aiden Ross, crowned the winner of season 28, and while the pair seemed ecstatic, not everyone in the studio was celebrating.

In addition to the One Direction boy bander, season 28’s lineup of superstar coaches included Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé.

Of the current panel, The U.S. Sun has learned that there is one coach in particular whose time on the singing competition has seemingly come to a close.

“Michael [Buble] has already said that he’s done with the show after this season.

“It will be a big loss since he’s beloved there. Michael loves the show, he loves the crew, and it seems like he loves his job,” a production insider claimed.

However, the Home crooner is said to “struggle” being away from his family so much, and also has had issues with the online backlash.

“He said the fans’ negative comments have taken a toll on him and he needs to step away and take some time for himself and his family.”

This comes after what many fans noticed was an “off night” for the Grammy-winner, who appeared off-key and lost during his performances.

At one point in the evening, Michael appeared upset after performing with his finalist, Max Chambers.

According to an eyewitness present at the finale, a frustrated Michael seemed to tell a production staffer off-camera that the band levels were too loud and “overpowering” their vocals.

“Michael seemed upset and not himself. Not sure if he was nervous or sick, but it was an off night for him for sure,” an insider spilled.

Fans took notice of the bizarre behavior and expressed concern for him online.

“Is Michael Buble alright? He doesn’t sound right on #TheVoice Finale,” one viewer wondered.

“Wtf is going on with Michael…? Wheres his smooth and sultry voice…” said another.

“Michael didn’t just sound off, he was acting a little off too…” a third commenter said.

“He seemed like that last night too, this is the first season i’ve watched where he’s coach so i can’t tell if he’s just like that or something is up,” another fan replied.

“He’s not normally like this to this extent… He could be sick too,” speculated one more.

“Was Bublé super emotional?? Is this for real his last season ever??” added a sixth, mentioning Michael’s remark the night before about this being his last season on the show.

The Haven’t Met You Yet singer made the off-hand comment while praising his finalist, Jazz McKenzie’s performance during the first installment of the two-part finale.

“I wrote you last night, I told you you are the light … this is it. This is my last time here,” Michael shared while holding back tears.

“I leave this show, and let me tell you, Jazz McKenzie, what a way to go. You are perfect.”

Michael didn’t elaborate on his comment, but he seemed to suggest he’s not planning to return as a coach or mentor on the singing competition show.

The Canadian singer won the last two seasons of The Voice with Sofronio Vasquez and Adam David, and had two finalists in Season 28, Jazz and Max Chambers, who were defeated by Team Niall’s Aiden Ross.

It’s already been confirmed that Michael won’t return to his red chair next season, as Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine will take over for a Battle of the Champions season.
