Legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards turned 81 on Monday and received lots of love from friends and family. The special day was made even more meaningful as he also celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary with his wife, Patti Hansen.

A photo shared on Instagram by Sally Wood, wife of Keith’s bandmate Ronnie Wood, showed Keith enjoying his birthday on a beach. In the picture, Keith wore a black T-shirt and striped shorts, standing next to Patti, who held their pet dog. Also in the picture were Sally, Ronnie, and their twin daughters, Gracie Jane and Alice Rose, who are seven years old.

To mark the occasion, Keith posted a throwback photo from his wedding day in 1983. Alongside the picture, he wrote, “For Patricia, Happy 40th Anniversary! I love you. Keith.”

Ronnie Wood also celebrated Keith’s milestone by posting an old picture of them together with the caption, “Happy birthday Keith!”

Rolling Stones Hire Tina Turner Impersonator for Tour

In other news, the Rolling Stones have hired singer Chanel Haynes to join them on their upcoming Hackney Diamonds tour in the United States. Chanel, who used to play Tina Turner in the London musical Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, impressed the band when she performed Gimme Shelter with them in Italy last year. However, she lost her job in the musical because she prioritized singing with the Stones over her theater role.

A source revealed, “The Stones had a very close relationship with Tina, and Chanel blew them away when she performed with them. They were happy to help her out by bringing her on tour.”

Remembering Tina Turner

Tina Turner, the legendary Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, was a close friend of the Rolling Stones. She passed away in May at the age of 83 after a long illness. She once shared that she taught Mick Jagger how to do the “Pony” dance move, which was popular in the 1960s.
