Travis Scott Gets Wrecked by Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, But Still Helps Cena Win Championship

Travis Scott-Cody Rhodes

Travis Scott just got bodied at WrestleMania 41, but don’t call it a loss — the rapper may have lost a battle, but he helped win the war.

During the main event, Cody Rhodes was in a heated match against John Cena when La Flame made a dramatic entrance, striding to the ring to the sound of his track “FE!N.” His arrival looked like trouble for Rhodes — especially when Cena appeared ready to double-team his opponent with Scott.

But in true WWE chaos fashion, the script flipped.

Rhodes delivered his finishing move, the Cross Rhodes, straight to Travis, laying out the hip-hop star in front of the roaring crowd. It looked like Rhodes had settled the score after Scott legitimately injured him back at Elimination Chamber in February.

That incident had left Rhodes with a black eye and a ruptured eardrum, thanks to a brutal punch from Scott. Rhodes later warned in interviews that “a receipt” was coming — and it arrived in the form of that Cross Rhodes.

Yet somehow, Travis still got the last laugh.

As Rhodes was inches from victory, Scott yanked the referee out of the ring, interrupting the count and killing his momentum. Cena capitalized, hitting Rhodes with his finisher and pinning him for the win.

Cena is now the Undisputed WWE Champion, and celebrated the moment side-by-side with Travis Scott — the man who made it possible.

Wrestling fans and hip-hop heads alike were stunned at how deeply Travis got involved in the action. But The Rock, who was part of the event’s build-up, said this level of commitment was no surprise.

“He wanted to get his hands bloody,” The Rock said after the event. “And that’s what you saw tonight.”

From bloody punches to title-costing interference, Travis Scott has officially cemented his name in WWE lore.
