We may have just found the Real Slim Shady—and he’s covered in fur!
Dogs have more in common with us than we think. They love affection, care about family, and when the mood strikes, they just have to belt out a song. That’s exactly what happened when one feisty Terrier turned an ordinary grooming session into an impromptu Eminem rap battle.
Dog Goes Full Slim Shady at the Groomer’s
Professional groomer Christy Carreiro set the stage by playing an Eminem track, and this little Terrier went all in, barking, howling, and delivering a performance full of raw emotion and intensity.
“That’s his real voice, I can feel it,” one commenter joked.
“That dog understood the assignment,” another fan applauded.
“I always wondered who Em’s backup was… I don’t anymore.”
The Terrier’s unmatched energy, passion, and Slim Shady attitude left social media users in stitches, with many calling for a canine remake of 8 Mile.

Do Dogs Like Human Music?
While this rap-loving Terrier is one of a kind, studies show that most dogs have different musical preferences.
A 2020 University of Sydney study found that dogs feel most relaxed when listening to classical music but become stressed with fast-paced heavy metal. Another 2017 study discovered that dogs’ heart rates were lowest (meaning they were calmest) when listening to soft rock and reggae.
So, if you want your pup to chill out, try playing Brahms, Bob Marley, or Paul Simon. But if your dog, like this Terrier, prefers Eminem—well, let them spit bars!
