Watch Keith Richards give surprise performance at Country Music Hall Of Fame induction ceremony

Keith Richards, the famous guitarist from The Rolling Stones, surprised everyone by showing up at the Country Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony this past weekend. He was there to honor James Burton, a guitar player who once worked with Elvis Presley and other big stars. Keith wasn’t alone—he performed with Vince Gill from the Eagles, singer Emmylou Harris, and drummer Steve Jordan. Together, they welcomed James Burton into the Hall of Fame.

Nobody told James that Keith was coming. It was a big secret until the boss of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Kyle Young, called Keith up to the stage. James was so happy and shocked! He said, “What a surprise! These guys are my heroes. I’ve worked with them, and I’m so thankful to God for letting me be part of this. I love them all.”

The group played a fun song called “I Can’t Dance,” written by Tom T. Hall and sung by Gram Parsons way back in 1973. You can watch the video of it online!

Last year, The Rolling Stones put out a new album called “Hackney Diamonds.” It was their first album of new songs since 2005, and people loved it. A music magazine called NME said it was “an absolute barnstormer,” which means it’s really exciting. They gave it four stars and said if this was the band’s last album, it would be a great way to end their amazing career.

Ronnie Wood, another member of The Rolling Stones, recently talked to NME about the new songs. He said they’re “explosive” and would sound awesome at live shows. He even suggested playing the whole album on stage, but he thinks Mick Jagger and Keith Richards might say, “No way, Ron, that’s too much!” They won’t forget their old songs either, he promised.
