“41%… And Rising”: Hannah Harper’s Massive Lead Has Fans Asking If ‘American Idol’ Is Already Over

It’s no longer just a lead—it’s a warning sign to the rest of the competition.

After another dominant week on American Idol, Hannah Harper isn’t just ahead… she’s pulling away at a pace that has fans seriously questioning whether the outcome is already decided. And with numbers like these, it’s hard to ignore.

Following Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night, Harper’s emotional performance of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” earned her a staggering 41% of the fan vote—her fourth straight week at the top. But it’s not just the win that’s turning heads.

It’s the gap.

Jordan McCullough came in second with 19.7%, delivering a powerful version of Queen’s “Somebody to Love,” while Keyla Richardson secured third place with 11.8% after her energetic take on “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours).”

Beyond that, the numbers drop fast.

Brooks Rosser landed in fourth with 10.3%, followed by Braden Rumfelt at 6.9%. Meanwhile, the lower tier tells a very different story: Lucas Leon (3.7%) and Chris Tungseth (3.3%) continue to struggle for traction, while Kyndal Inskeep (2%) and Daniel Stallworth (1.1%) sit firmly in the danger zone.

On paper, it looks like a runaway.

But American Idol has already proven this season that nothing is ever that simple.

Just one week ago, Philmon Lee ranked near the top in fan polls—only to be eliminated during the live show alongside Rae Boyd. Both had received strong praise from judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, making their exits one of the biggest shocks of the season.

It was a reminder fans can’t ignore: online support doesn’t always translate into real-time survival.

Still, Hannah’s consistency is becoming impossible to overlook.

Ryan Seacrest joins judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan on American Idol Season 24. The Top 20 contestants now compete for America’s vote on ABC.

Week after week, she’s not only maintaining her position—she’s expanding it. Her ability to connect emotionally with viewers has turned her into more than just a strong contestant. She’s become the one everyone is trying to catch.

And right now, no one is close.

Keyla Richardson continues to emerge as a potential challenger, consistently landing near the top, while Jordan McCullough’s strong vocal performances keep him firmly in the mix. But unless something shifts dramatically, the race is beginning to feel one-sided.

At least for now.

Because if this season has taught viewers anything, it’s that momentum can change overnight. One performance, one vote swing, one unexpected moment—that’s all it takes.

With Disney Night ahead and Jennifer Hudson stepping in as mentor, the pressure is about to intensify once again. And for those trailing behind, it may be their last chance to close the gap.

So is the competition already over?

Not quite.

But for the first time this season, it’s starting to feel like it could be.
