In an unexpected twist, rapper 50 Cent has shown support for his old rival, Kanye West, amidst the backlash following Kanye’s increasingly inflammatory rants on social media.
Despite Kanye’s offensive comments about JAY-Z and Beyoncé‘s children, as well as his ongoing support for 50’s nemesis Diddy, the G-Unit general seems to be enjoying the chaos Yeezy is stirring up.
On Instagram on Thursday, March 20, 50 Cent reacted to Kanye’s shocking remarks about the Carters’ 7-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir, by writing:
“I didn’t post anything yesterday because @Ye said the kids are retarded. I can’t compete with that kinda sh!t.”
50 continued, adding:
“I’m listening to his album now!” referencing Kanye’s latest release Bully, which was leaked by the rapper himself earlier this week.
Kanye didn’t miss the chance to respond. He took to X (formerly Twitter), writing:
“50 I SAID BEYONCE AND JAY Z KIDS ARE RETARDED. LETS MAKE THE HOT WATER BOILING HOT. OR LIKE PEOPLE SAY BROILING HOT.”
50 Cent responded by once again showing his appreciation for Kanye’s new LP, acknowledging Kanye’s recent jail phone call with Diddy, and joking about their ongoing drama:
“As much as I don’t want to agree with Diddy on anything, just smile Ye (smile) and fuck em all man, fuck em. Bully out now! (I LIKE SPANISH SONG).”
Kanye’s rants on social media have been relentless this week, with the rapper taking aim at everyone from Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Cassie, to Playboi Carti. However, his most shocking remarks were aimed at the youngest Carters, Rumi and Sir, calling them “retarded” and making insensitive comments about their birth.
In a post that was eventually deleted, Kanye wrote:
“WAIT HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN JAY Z AND BEYONCÉ’S YOUNGER KIDS. THEY’RE RETARDED. NO LIKE LITERALLY. AND THIS IS WHY ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION IS A BLESSING. HAVING RETARDED CHILDREN IS A CHOICE.”
Later, Kanye tried to justify the post, saying:
“I NEED EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT I TOOK THE POST ABOUT JAY Z AND BEYONCÉ’S FAMILY DOWN AND JERRY LORENZO’S FAMILY DOWN BECAUSE THERE WAS A POSSIBILITY OF MY TWITTER BEING CANCELLED BECAUSE I’M A GOOD PERSON. I TOOK IT DOWN LIKE DOWN SYNDROME. GET IT. AM I RIGHT. FUCK THE WORLD. REAL TALK. FUCK EEEEVVEEERREEE BODY.”
He didn’t stop there. Kanye continued his attack on the Carters, writing:
“AT LEAST JAY Z AND BEYONCÉ GET TO RAISE THEIR RETARDED ASS KIDS.”
Kanye also accused the Carters of not supporting him during his struggles with his children, saying:
“AIN’T NO CELEBRITY EVER SAID NOTHING TO COME TO MY AID WHEN IT CAME TO THESE WHITE WOMEN TAKING MY KIDS. CAUSE THEY WAS MAD I WAS WEARING TRUMP HAT. FUCK JAY Z AND HIS WHOLE FAMILY. ESPECIALLY HIS SHOOTERS.”
As his online tirade continued, Kanye doubled down on his controversial comments, adding:
“AND NOW THAT YOU THINK JAY Z PUSSY ASS MADE ME TAKE IT DOWN I GOT TO DOUBLE DOWN.”
Despite the ongoing drama, JAY-Z and Beyoncé have yet to publicly respond. However, according to reports from Page Six, the couple is reportedly “discussing” the possibility of taking legal action against Kanye for his offensive remarks.
