STACEY SOLOMON BLEW THE ROOF OFF LOOSE WOMEN: Emotional Spice Girls Goodbye Performance with Crew Stunned by Johnny Vegas’ Hilarious Geri Halliwell Impersonation

The show and the rest of ITV are leaving The London Studios for the next five years – and it was an emotional farewell today.

The X Factor star, who is also a panellist on the lunchtime programme, took the mic as they finished the show.

Belting out the classic Spice Girls track Goodbye, which the band famously sang when Geri left,  Stacey showed off her singing skills.

Fellow panellists Jane Moore, Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams joined her to sing the backing vocals.

Johnny Vegas, who is a favourite on the show, joined them dressed as Geri Horner – complete with a Union Jack dress.

During the show Sherrie Hewson appeared with a time capsule full of memories from each of them.

They plan to reopen the box when the return to the studios in five years’ time.

The women spent the show reminiscing about their time on the show – with Jane Moore, Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams all having appeared on the original panel.

Martin Kemp – who is another show regular – also made an appearance, and revealed that he was born with three kidneys.

From Monday ITV will be sub-letting studio space from BBC Studioworks in the Television Centre – the current home of the BBC.

Kaye teased what the new set would look like, as she showed the varying ones they had over the years.

Meanwhile Stacey and the women’s performance received a mixed reaction on Twitter.

Once person tweeted: “Never thought I’d ever see @StaceySolomon dueting to Spice Girls with a dress-wearing @JohnnyVegasReal – what a time to be alive #LooseWomen.”

While another wrote: “@StaceySolomon loved you singing Stacey … you forget what a gorgeous voice you have.  #LooseWomen #goodbye.”

Others weren’t quite so complimentary though, as someone else remarked: “It’s very hard to sing a spice girls song worse than the spice girls…..congratulations #loosewomen you’ve achieved the unachievable.(sic)”
